Design Plus Gallery presents a Gossip Bench from the Victorian Era’s Eastlake Style. This lade chair is made from solid wood with elegant carvings, one arm and a cherry stain finish over cherry wood. The arm, seat back and seat cushion are all attached and upholstered in a red, gold and green striped pattern that was likely a newer addition to the frame work. The name Gossip Bench or Lady Chair evokes a certain feeling, reminiscent of private musings with close confidants. The chair is in good condition with wear that is consistent with its usage.
