Design Plus Gallery presents Japanese Lacquered Panel Inset in Frame from the Mid 20th Century. The set of four black lacquered panels have Asian related scene work done in soapstone and mother of pearl inlays. The scenes show geisha kimono robed figures with mountains in the background in all four of the images. They are wonderfully set within a singular frame that has off white matte with light blue border. The frame has layers of decorative components that enhance the composition of the inset panels. The entire piece is in good condition with a visible yellow mark on the off-white matte.
