Design Plus Gallery presents a pair of Marcel Wanders for Hayworth & Cappellini Wander’s Tulip Swivel Chairs. Custom made in a fabulous pairing of ROMO fabrics. These were made for a collaboration between a designer and showroom for a design week. Seat interior is a vibrant “I dream of Jeanie” magenta in a soft and inviting velvet. Shell is a metallic snake skin pattern embossed onto an ivory suede like micro fiber. There is some wear on the metal base and on some of the fabric (pictured.) Marcel takes inspiration from botany to create a whimsy and acoustic privacy in spaces. Ideal for phone calls. Mimicking a stem, a swivel base provides support. Construction consists of a Fiberlgass and Resin Shell with Molded and Polyurethane Foam. Seat is made from a poplar plywood frame with elastic belts and polyurethane Foam Padding. Swivel Base is Made of Natural Aluminum with A Clear Coating.
