Design Plus Gallery presents a Japanese Gilt-Mounted Tansu Chest by Lord Co. This vintage chest has a reddish-brown wood case with ornate gilt metal mounts, circular medallions, decorative hinge straps, corner plates, and shaped drawer pulls. The upper cabinet doors open to interior storage with open shelving on one side and three smaller drawers on the other. Two wide lower drawers add additional storage, each accented with gilt escutcheons and pull hardware. It is in good condition; visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in Japan.
