Design Plus Gallery presents a Living Platform Sofa designed by the trio EOOS for Walter Knoll. Conceived by Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl, EOOS takes its name from one of the four horses that pull the chariot of Helios in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Their work has received more than 250 design prizes, including the Compasso d’Oro. This Living Platform Sofa expresses that philosophy through a low, linear profile with an adjustable back, pivoting side elements, and movable cushions that allow the form to shift with the structure. Upholstered in gray textile with slender metal legs, the sofa balances precision with softness in a silhouette that feels both technical and inviting. The seat can extend forward to for a sleeper. It is in good condition with minimal fading from sun exposure and minimal markings on fabric from usage. Made in Herrenberg, Germany.
