Originally designed by Eero Saarinen in 1957, the Tulip Chair became one of the defining furniture forms of mid-century modern design. Each chair has a sculpted molded shell supported by Saarinen’s signature single pedestal base, eliminating the conventional four-leg structure. The white shell and matching pedestal are paired with removable gray leather seat cushions for contrast and added comfort. The curved backrest transitions into gently flared sides, while the circular base continues the chair’s fluid architectural profile. Model 151C remains part of Saarinen’s celebrated Pedestal Collection and is recognized for its sculptural form and innovative approach to seating design. They are in good condition with visible wear on leather and minimal wear on frames from usage. Made in Italy.
