Design Plus Gallery presents a Circa 1880 Austrian Two-Piece Cabinet. Crafted with burl wood and oak, showcasing the rich interplay of figured veneers against sturdy, straight-grained casework. The lower section presents three drawers over three paneled doors, offering generous enclosed storage, while the upper section features two doors framed by columnar supports. Echoing the Neo-Renaissance aesthetic—particularly the French Henry II revival—the cabinet is distinguished by intricate carvings, turned columns, and well-detailed panels. The facade’s symmetry and rhythmic vertical elements give the piece an architectural gravitas, balanced by the warmth and movement of the burl. Two-part construction makes the cabinet practical to install and move, without sacrificing scale or impact. In good antique condition, visible veneer chips and and minimal wear from usage.
