Miss Montez attended Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and won a scholarship while there, following this with a three year scholarship at Chouinard Art Institute. Her beautiful paintings of flowers, with an outstanding controlled richness of color harmonies are perfhaps her best known, but she also produces portraits of groups of people with a wholly personal color and light, whose charm lies in a skillful and subtle blend of fantasy. The painting is in matted and framed beautifully in an embossed gold frame with a linen matte. In good condition, minimal wear.
