1970’s Ristomatti Ratia Design Palaset Modular Storage System – 8 Pieces

Design Plus Gallery presents a 8 Piece Modular Storage System Designed by Ristomatti Ratia for Palaset. The Palaset storage boxes are a white finish stackable boxes allows you to build your own shelf, produced only a few years in the early 1970s. During his career, Ristomatti Ratia designed almost everything from clothing to jewelry + pots to coffins. Ristomatti Ratia’s idea was to create a custom home storage system and it worked out very well. Truly a pity that it they had had a very short shelf life i.e. production time but as of now is what makes them so sought after. Currently showcased are 8 boxes that you can place in all ways. Some discoloration and scuffs on this much loved piece but overall consistent with its vintage age + usage. Made in Finland.
