Design Plus Gallery presents a Vintage Polish Decorative Chest from Spółdzielnia Rzemieślnicza. The hinged lid is centered by an elaborate metal plaque depicting the Polish eagle and architectural landmarks labeled Gdańsk, Warszawa, Poznań, and Kraków. An ornamental border incorporates geometric and foliate motifs along with regional heraldic emblems. Coordinating embossed metal bands continue around the wood case, while the front is fitted with an ornate locking escutcheon, chain, and key. The interior opens to a spacious wood-lined compartment, and chain supports secure the lid when raised. The combination of carved wood tones, detailed metalwork, heraldic imagery, and architectural scenes reflects traditional Polish decorative arts. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in Poland.
