Design Plus Gallery presents a Signed 1974 Limited Edition “The Bon Festival — The Yaeyama Islands, Okinawa Pref.” Serigraph, 58/75 from Yukihiko Tajima. This expressive composition depicts figures associated with the Bon Festival through layered geometric forms, checkered patterns, foliage, and sweeping bands of green, blue, gray, ochre, brown, and ivory. The lower margin bears handwritten Japanese characters and the English title, “The Bon Festival ‘the Yaeyama Islands Okinawa Pref.’” The work is numbered 58/75 at the lower left and signed and dated ’74 at the lower right. Presented under glass with a wide neutral mat and a silver-tone metal frame, the artwork reflects the graphic character and saturated palette associated with 1970s modern printmaking. The paper backing on the reverse shows age-related tears and wear. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage.
