Design Plus Gallery presents a William Sonoma Ebony Lacourte Upright Secretary Desk. Stately and statuesque secretary reprises the elegance of 1940s French furnishings. Exterior is a lacquered ebony finish. Interior is finished with a warm mahogany stain. Corners are anchored by smooth solid-wood pilasters and taper to brass feet. Hinged front opens to reveal two cubbies on each side with adjustable shelving, two drawers and a shelved center compartment with wire management with space for a 22″ monitor. Side shelves are adjustable. Hardware is an antiqued solid brass finish. Pull-down work surface is detailed with a black leather blotter. Framed in kiln-dried poplar wood from the USA and wrapped in a semi-gloss lacquer finish. Cabinet interiors are hand finished with a warm, mahogany stain.
