Design Plus Gallery presents a large Vintage Eglomise Wall Mirror. This style of reverse glass painting was developed in the 18th century. Both the delicate floral design and gilding are applied onto the rear face of the glass and combined with other decorating techniques such as painting. The rippling gilt trim details the wood frame beatifully. Light surface wear; condition is consistent with vintage age and use.
