Design Plus Gallery presents a Vintage Brass Buddha Figurine. The Buddha Akshobhya is one of five cosmic Buddhas, this Buddha of the east, is recognized by the earth-touching gesture made by extending the right hand downward with the palm facing inward. The object on this Buddha’s wonderful detailed pedestal confirms his identity as a “vajra,” the symbol of Akshobhya, who is head of the vajra family of tantric Buddhist deities. Hollow brass; the statue has some wear and touches of blue paint or corrosion; good condition.
