Vintage Asian Soapstone Four Paneled Screen + Divider

Design Plus Gallery presents a Mid 20th Century “Soapstone Four Panel Screen. Black panels are painted in lacquer which has patina to a matte finish. Each panel contributes to the large vignette featuring symbolic birds and flora sculpted of multicolored soapstone. Panels ahave hand painted details and gold borders. Reverse side of screen divider is painted with a more minimal and botanical design. Hinged hardware is brass. Visible surface wear; small stone pieces missing; replacement hinge pins; condition is fair for age and use.
