Design Plus Gallery presents an Antique 19th Century Victorian Cane Seat Child’s Highchair. Dating to the late 1800s, this distinctive chair showcases a tall bentwood hoop back supported by turned vertical spindles and a woven cane seat framed in wood. The elevated frame incorporates turned front legs, angled rear supports, multiple stretchers, and an integrated wooden footrest. A crescent-shaped wooden tray pivots to the side through period metal hardware, allowing it to swing away from the seat. The aged wood displays an appealing timeworn patina, visible grain variation, and evidence of generations of use that contribute to its authentic antique character. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage.
