Design Plus Gallery presents a Nuvola Rossa Bookcase from Cassina. Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977. Crafted in solid American walnut, its elegant, simple, clean-cut lines stem from a radical rethink of the classic bookcase with side supports. Here, the diagonal bracing struts become the very structure, they lock the composition in place and cradle the shelves, eliminating bulky sides and creating a light, architectural silhouette. The precision of its visible hinges and the rhythm of its six well-proportioned shelves focus attention on construction as much as on form. Warm walnut grain softens the geometry, while the open, cross-braced design ensures stability with a striking interplay of shapes. Was a Showroom Sample, in good condition, minimal wear. Made in Italy.
