Spode is an English brand of dinnerware and homewares started in 1770 and still in operation today. They are renowned for bone china, the strongest of the porcelain or china ceramics, having very high mechanical and physical strength and chip resistance, and is known for its high levels of whiteness and translucency.

The Chancellor Cobalt offers a setting for up to twelve, with the exception of the kidney shaped salad plate which there are eleven. The sent features grand elegance with gold plated rim and inner rim throughout the set. There are twelve of each : teacup, saucer, dessert plate, secondary service plate, and entree plate. There is a single of soup boat, rectangular bowl, and lidded vessel. There are two petite oval dishes for service and two differing size platters as well. One hundred and four pieces in total.

The set is in great condition, wear is consistent with age + use.
