Spanish Bargueño Secretary Desk With Drawers
$799
Design Plus Gallery presents a Bargueño Secretary Desk with Spanish Origins. This traditional Spanish portable writing desk and cabinet has an origin date back to the late 16th century. It consists of a rectangular walnut chest with a drop-front panel that hinges down to serve as a writing surface. The interior reveals nine small drawers with decorative metal pulls, arranged around a central open compartment with a horizontal shelf. The wooden construction displays natural grain variations, aged patina, and decorative molding along the upper edge. The lower section is supported by four squared legs connected by a stretcher with a gently curved apron. The wood surfaces display visible marks, scratches, and variations in coloration consistent with its vintage character. Desk is in good condition with visible wear consistent with age and usage.
