Design Plus Gallery presents a Butterfly Stool by Sori Yanagi for Tendo. Designed in 1954, this stool is an iconic piece of mid-century Japanese design produced by Tendo Mokko. Famed for its silhouette that resembles a butterfly’s wings or a Shinto torii gate, it features two symmetrical pieces of molded plywood joined by a central brass rod. It is in a nice maple wood tone with a gloss finish. Visible wear is present but overall it is in good condition for its usage.
