Brilliantly colored against a white ground, the pattern Handcrafted using a historic technique that’s older than traditional piled carpet weaving, this weave requires the work of the most skilled artisans. No knots are tied in the process which makes the textile that much stronger. The technique, similar to that for Kilims, creates great durability that will last in high traffic areas. Unlike Kilims, Sumak rugs are not reversible as the backside has threads that create a cushion that is more thick and durable as a floor covering.
