Samy Chickens in a Henhouse Painting, Signed
$299
Design Plus Gallery presents Chickens in a Henhouse by Samy. The artwork is painted in the 19th-century European Realism style, specifically belonging to the genre anomalies or rustic genre painting. The piece captures a typical rustic chicken coop interior. The theme was widely popular among the French, Dutch, and Belgian painters who specialized in domestic farm animals. A dramatic light beam cuts through a small window. It illuminates the dust and straw in the center of the dark interior, creating high contrast. It is encased in a heavy, multi-tiered traditional wooden frame with gold lifework, and is signed by the artist on the lower left-hand side. It is in good overall condition for its vintage usage.
