Design Plus Gallery presents a Vintage Rococo Revival Hand-Painted Porcelain Table Lamp. This was a sculptural structure that was converted into a table lamp. This ornate lamp showcases a sculptural porcelain body decorated with hand-painted pastoral and classical courting scenes framed by elaborate gilt scrollwork. Deep cobalt blue glazing provides a dramatic backdrop for the extensive gold decoration that continues throughout the body and scrolling pedestal base. Multiple painted reserves depict figures in period dress within romantic landscapes, giving the lamp the character of European decorative porcelain associated with the Rococo Revival tradition. The shaped base incorporates sweeping foliate motifs, raised ornamentation, and additional figural scenes. The lamp is completed with a navy fabric bell shade accented by decorative braided trim and hanging faceted bead fringe in amber and translucent tones. The shade complements the porcelain body while maintaining the elaborate character of the overall design. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage.
