Design Plus Gallery presents an Original Mixed Media Piece titled “Seeing Light II” by Artist Robilee Frederick. The work is infused with the eloquent language of light on so many levels. As a constant motif in her very prolific career, light has evolved from theme, subject and method to an absolute physical reality in her work. Before she became a working artist, Robilee Frederick trained to become a concert pianist. She sketched a lot throughout her young life, but had no formal instruction. She had a brief stint as a fashion illustrator in New York City. When her last child went to kindergarten, she started art school and found she loved it. There are many commonalities between the two disciplines. Art is full of color, of design and atmosphere. Music embraces these as well. Frederick became an etcher and a lithographer.
