Design Plus Gallery presents “Malibu” by Artist Robert Well. A large-scale acrylic on board composed of five distinct atmospheres—a panoramic montage of coastal California in motion. From the left, a sun-washed hillside opens the sequence; next, the chrome-backed tail of an Oldsmobile idles before the vintage storefront of “Bay City Drug.” Two quieter vignettes follow: a figure reclines, loose and heat-dazed; another pauses to sip tea. The series resolves in a saturated blue field stamped with white hand prints, a raw, gestural counterpoint to the calmer scenes. In good condition, minimal wear from usage.
