Design Plus Gallery presents a 17th C. Monastery Rectangular Dining Table by Restoration Hardware. Balustrade tables like these were once part of life in medieval, 17th-century monasteries. This is a reproduction true to the original’s hand-hewn style and trestle design. Frame and legs handcrafted of solid hardwood; tabletop crafted of engineered wood with hand-selected fine veneers. Intensive, multistep finishing process replicates the character of aged wood. The finish is a Black Acacia, distressed with nicks, markings and pinholes to add distinctive detail and impart a timeworn patina. Turned trestle legs in a baluster shape. By their nature, unsealed wood planks may be somewhat uneven, and may cup or bow slightly over time, further enhancing their rustic one-of-a-kind character; cracks may be present. Visible and minor wear on entire frame.
