Design Plus Gallery presents the Emeco Stool by Philippe Starck for Emeco. The stool seamlessly blends sleek, modern style with everyday comfort, resulting in a timeless contemporary furniture piece. Crafted using Emeco’s legendary 77-step manufacturing process, originally developed during WWII to meet the U.S. Navy’s demand for lightweight, corrosion-resistant seating. the stool is made from proprietary aluminum that is three times stronger than steel and engineered to last an estimated 150 years. The distinctive “circle in a square” design was created by Starck at the request of the Museum of Modern Art for its Mies van der Rohe in Berlin retrospective, further cementing the stool’s place in modern design history. Durable, lightweight, and easy to clean, the Emeco Stool is both highly functional and visually refined, making it a lasting favorite in any interior. In good condition, visible patina and minimal wear form usage. Made in USA.
