The graphic patter with multiple borders and figures on horses is striking and brick, ivory and brown. The Pazyryk name references a site of 40 wood-lined pit tombs c500-c300 b.c. in the Altai Mountains of Central Asia, containing the tattooed bodies of nomadic chieftains. A conversation starter to be sure, in an unusual size.
