Design Plus Gallery presents a Traditional Parquetry Kidney-Shaped Writing Desk. The distinctive curved profile is formed by a wood frame supported by turned legs joined by shaped perimeter stretchers. The expansive top displays parquetry woodwork arranged in geometric patterns, accented by molded edging. Hinged drop-leaf sections at each end extend the writing surface and fold down when desired. A single center drawer follows the curve of the desk and is fitted with a round metal pull. Traditional joinery, turned details, and the sculptural crescent form complete the design. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage.
