Design Plus Gallery presents a Pair of Vintage Tall-Back Windsor Armchairs from Nichols & Stone. Constructed from wood in a black-painted treatment, each chair showcases a tall spindle back framed by a curved crest rail with scrolled ends. Shaped saddle seats are joined by slender spindles, curved armrests, turned arm supports, and turned legs connected by decorative stretchers. The traditional Windsor construction is complemented by the distinctive height and sculptural arrangement of the back spindles. Nichols & Stone maker’s marks are present beneath the seats. These are discontinued models with the brand, and they are in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in Gardner, Massachusetts, USA.
