Napoleon III Style Ebonized Console
SOLD!
Design Plus Gallery presents a Napoleon III Style Ebonized Console. Crafted from wood and veneers with a richly textured crackle finish. The top surface is etched with koi fish and highlighted in gold, lending a refined Japonesque note. Below, a single frieze drawer with twin brass pulls provides discreet storage, while the apron is distinguished by a pair of brass rams’ head mounts—an opulent nod to the period’s neoclassical tastes. The console stands on four turned, ripple-carved legs with gold accents, adding sculptural presence and subtle shimmer. In good overall condition with minimal, visible wear consistent with age and gentle use.
