About Artist:
“Nancy Hammond’s hometowns were Schenectady and Skaneateles, one of the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. Summers were spent on Murray Isle on the St. Lawrence River. For many years, she cruised the Chesapeake on the sloop “Northern Spy”. In the winter, she often sought refuge in the Caribbean and British Virgin Islands. Majoring in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, her work has since been chosen to be exhibited in galleries, Baltimore Museum of Art and Maryland Institute of Art.” – Nancy Hammond.
