Design Plus Gallery presents the Joe Atkinson for Thonet Mid Century Modern Bentwood Arm Chair. This rare and substantial armchair was designed in 1946. The piece retains its original and durable oil cloth upholstery on the seat and back, along with original finish on the birch wood frame. The laminated bent birch wood frame has the grasshopper arm rests that offer the chair a dynamic and inviting expression with strong support white sitting or standing up out of the chair. The chair does show surface wear but overall is in good condition for its age + use.
