Mid 20th Century R&s Hand Painted Porcelain Trinket Box

Design Plus Gallery presents a R&S Hand Painted Porcelain Trinket Box. The top features a lithograph transfer by Francois Boucher called “La Morotte” Boucher is one of the most prolific artists from 18th Century France, being noted for painting the portrait of King Louis XV and the interiors for French aristocracy. A lovely floral pattern is hand painted in gold gilt around the decorative panels. An anchoring cobalt blue holds the panels together in the porcelain lidded container. The Extensive gold gilt accenting and deep cobalt blue borders is characteristic of Prussian porcelain-ware. Minor wear through out, porcelain box is in good condition.
