Design Plus Gallery presents a Great Mid Century Find, a Lucite Crystal Prism Table Lamp Stamped Astrolite from Ritts in Los Angeles. Ritts Astrolite refers to a collection of vintage, mid-century modern Lucite and acrylic items produced by Ritts Co. of Los Angeles, owned by the parents of photographer Herb Ritts. These items, often described as “Astrolite” are known for their sculptural shapes, biomorphic forms, and use of Lucite/acrylic material. This lamp has a square lucite base with three prism shaped crystals also made of lucite. Original silk pleated shade. Crystal clear and lamp + shade are still in good condition with minimal wear for its vintage age + use.
