Design Plus Gallery presents a pair of Mid 20th-Century EastLake Mohair Side Chairs. Turned legs with castor feet and intricate carvings give an iconic Eastlake style to the pair of these parlor chairs. Petite sizing and mobile front legs makes them ideal for moving around. Reupholstered from the original state with a sumptuous burgundy mohair and finished with coordinating trim. Back is button tufted and seat has spring construction. Minor wear due to age on wood, and fabric is in great condition. The Eastlake Movement is a nineteenth-century architectural style associated with Victorian style. The household design reform movement was started by British architect and writer Charles Eastlake.
