Mid 20th Century Aqua-Lung u.s. Dive Co. Vintage Large Poster

SOLD!

Design Pus Gallery presents a rare vintage scuba diving poster from the US Divers Company. This large black and white photographic image is graphically framed (date unknown) in a rivet-look (think porthole) wood frame with patina finish.

First sold in the United States in the late 1940’s, the Aqua-Lung regulator was sold at René Sporting Goods in Los Angeles, owned by René Bussoz. In 1952, Bussoz changed the name of his company to “U.S. Divers Company” and registered the trademark Aqua-Lung in the United States. In 1957, Bussoz sold the company and the trade names to La Spirotechnique. Around 2003, U.S. Divers Company was renamed Aqua Lung America after La Spirotechnique changed its name to Aqua Lung International. The U.S. Divers name was maintained as a trademark for Aqua Lung’s line of snorkeling equipment.

*Note: Second image poster may be available.
