What a composition with choice of colors that jump out at you; bold reds vibrant yellows and softening turquoise to juxtapose its color creation. Visible text is present to ponder over when you have the chance (typed at the bottom of listing). Signature by the artist in on the backside of art piece. In good condition, minimal wear from usage.
About the Artist :
Michael-Brian Norris was born in Xenia, Ohio in 1975. He received a scholarship in the fine arts program at Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia. Although this secluded campus seemed like the perfect backdrop for the progressive study of his craft, he withdrew after only three days, proclaiming that higher education placed too much emphasis on technique and traditional methods of study. Norris then settled in Atlanta and, as a means of promoting his artwork, began producing exhibitions on his own. In Atlanta, he quickly established himself not only as an artist but also as a cutting edge independent curator, featuring the works of undiscovered and self-taught artists. He now resides in Tennessee, USA.
The Therapist-
“In fact the artist’s use of the color red as a representation of pure and unbridled creative passion isn’t from the very begining!”
The Patient –
“ What of the spooky spider in the middle of the painting? Perhaps the answer can be found in the artist choice to portray the everyday scene in an unusual light using himself as the endogenous central figure thus giving the viewer, regardless of sex, the He or She? Alas, a clever trick the artist picked up by looking at Hopper paintings. But one thing still perplexes me. The obvious symbolism of the blue furniture. What’s that about?”
