About Artist:
“The artist is from Pinerolo, a town near the city of Turin in the Piedmont area of Italy.
Although primarily known as a sculptor, he was also known for his portraits and landscapes in oil.The Luigi Aghemo Plaster Cast Gallery contain the plaster casts and the other works of Turin sculptor Luigi Aghemo (1884-1976). The Dotti family of Pinerolo, custodians of the maestro’s artistic fund, donated the plaster casts and the works of the sensitive and productive artist from Piedmont to the Fondazione Cassa Risparmio di Tortona. The Luigi Aghemo Plaster cast gallery is housed in the rooms of the ancient “Sironi” building.”
