Design Plus Gallery presents a circa 1780’s George III Style Washstand. Made from the use of completely solid Oak wood with a Mahogany stain. This fine sideboard was purchased three decades ago from Royal Antiques in New Orleans, a fifth generational family specializing in European antiquities. This can now, in modern times, be used as a sideboard, buffet, or media cabinet but was originally used as a washstand. A bowl would sit at the top with the elemental drawers holding your belongings to tidy yourself up. There are five staggered depth center drawers, with two third width drawers on either side with cabinet doors beneath allowing for open cavity space with interior shelf. It has all original brass hardware intact. Overall the piece is in good condition for its antique usage.
