“Landon received his B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he focused on color theory and layering techniques. As a painter, he was drawn to the surfaces that could be created through an understanding of these ideas. At the same time, Landon was pursuing woodworking and designing contemporary furniture pieces, one of which was selected for inclusion in the 2011 exhibit at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, It’s Herman Miller Time: Today’s Furniture Makers Respond.

Landon’s exploration of fine art as functional design led him to concrete and the creation of Peacock Studios, where surfaces are inspired and influenced by the techniques he developed as a painter.

Outside the studio Landon is also a regular distance runner. His success in high-school led him to run collegiately for the Wisconsin Badgers. While on the team he was a two-time D1 All American in cross-country and a two-time Big Ten champion.
