Design Plus Gallery presents a Scholars Chest of Drawers, a Bandaji of Korean Design. The chest is made from wood solids with iron hardware. It is one singular piece with the top part having design elements such as ribbed carvings, roped iron work and iron brackets. There are three drawers in the middle with u-shaped iron pulls. The lower section has a pull down door that work well as a blanket chest or for linens. Heavy iron work is found there with elemental features that the Scholars chest is known for. Surprisingly, the entirety of the inside is paper wrapped with Korean print. Is in good condition for its use + age
