Design Plus Gallery presents the Medium Size Saarinen Dining Table by Eero Saarinen for Knoll Studio. This dining room table is a centerpiece of mid-century modern design, specifically engineered by Eero Saarinen to resolve what he called the “slum of legs”. Beyond its iconic silhouette, the table is defined by high-performance materials and a unique “knife-edge” profile. A signature feature where the tabletop tapers significantly toward the edge, creating a delicate, floating appearance. The pedestal is made of heavy molded cast aluminum. While it appears to be one piece, the base is separate from the top and secured via a sub-top or threaded rod system. The brand plate and stamps for authenticity are found on its underside. Visible surface wear is present albeit minimal and consistent with its usage. Made in Italy.
