Knoll Studio Eero Saarinen White + Carrera Tulip Table + 6 Chairs. Original Price: $25,570

Design Plus Gallery presents the Eero Saarinen Tulip Dining Table from Knoll Studio. Architect Eero Saarinen was a genius at creating expressive sculptural forms. The Saarinen Dining Table, as he explained in a 1956 Time magazine cover story, was designed to “clear up the slum of legs in the U.S. home.” The base is of white powder coat over aluminum with the signature tulip design. The table top is produced in Italy and is solid Carrera marble. Brand plate in on the aluminum plate that anchors the base to the surface. The table has minimal surface wear for its usage with small chip that is shown in last image.

Set of Six Dining Chairs from Knoll Studio, Designed by Eero Saarinen. True classics of American mid-century architecture, a period vastly characterised by the simplification of everyday living. Designed to eliminate the unnecessary clutter of legs underneath. The frame forms a beautiful curvature around the back and through the arms in a seamless line, both elegant and ergonomic, and is finished with a densely firm foam removable cushion upholstered in a black leather. The set overall is in good condition for their usage with one chair having a crack on its base.
