Design Plus Gallery presents a British Circa 1760 Reproduction Console Table by John Widdicomb. Purchased at the San Francisco Design Center. This ornate table is adorned with handsomely proportioned and gilded classic structural mouldings and was inspired by a British table, c. 1760, designed by James Stewart for Spencer House. It features a delicately carved front apron and four square, tapered and fluted logs surmounted with classical volute capitals. The legs taper to carved acanthus leaf feet joined with an H” shaped streicher. A sophisticated and wonderful addition into your home. Stamped with the brass plate signature of John Widdicomb. The console is in good condition with minimal signs of wear for its usage. In good condition, visible and minor wear.
