J. Barnet Paris Street Scene Original Painting, Signed

Design Plus Gallery presents an Original Black and White Painting of a Paris Street Scene by J Barnet. The artist is best known for this style of Mid-Century Parisian Street scenes, frequently executed in a distinct monochromatic or black-and-white style. This painting has stylized, abstract silhouettes of pedestrians walking through rainy or wintry city streets. The strong vertical lines that capture the imposing height of Parisian apartment facades and balconies give this a dynamic perspective. The artist has signed the painting and there is an envelope attached to the back with a certificate of authenticity. It is encased in its original wooden frame with linen matte. It is in good condition for its vintage age.
