Design Plus Gallery presents a 1940’s Bullnose Chest of Three Drawers from Italy. This handsome chest is made with the use of rosewood, tiger maple wood, burl birch wood veneers, and solid birch wood trim. The body of the chest is what is called a Bullnose which is swathed in rich brown well-striated rosewood veneer. Striated tiger maple veneer was applied to the beveled face and peaked termini and then trimmed in solid ash bullnose molding. There are three centered rectangular drawers below the rectangular top, each fixed with two brass L-form pulls with one scrolled end and a chromed-brass keyhole. It is raised on four splayed dolphin-nose supports with dark brindled burl birch veneer to the top and supports and one rectangular strip along the base of the bottom drawer. This rare legacy chest will be a focal point that can serve a multitude of uses in your home. It is in good overall condition but does not come with a key.
