Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Four Knoll Bertoia Counter Stools. The stools are produced by Knoll for Design Within Reach, and designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952, yet the design remains current today. The seats and bases are constructed of chromed metal wire, powder coated white. The seat pads are a with off-white seat pad (vinyl), they have snaps to keep them in place. Made in Italy. Condition is good for age and use

Featuring delicate filigreed construction that’s supremely strong, the airy seats of the Bertoia Seating Collection (1952) are sculpted out of steel rods and have a relaxed sit. The collection was an experiment with open forms and metal – an extension of Harry Bertoia’s work in sculpture – and remains one of the most iconic contributions to modern furniture design.
