Design Plus Gallery represents Marfa Prada Limited Edition Fine Art Photography by Gray Malin, signed and numbered 3/25. The black and white photograph was taken in Marfa, a small town that became a vital area during the Spanish American War. In the early 1990’s artist Donald Judd came to Marfa and fell in love with West Texas and invited artists from around the world to come and create permanent and temporary art installations in the converted barrack buildings. In 2005 Prada decided to join in on the movement and converted an old gas station into what is now, ‘Prada Marfa’. Filled with purses and shoes, it appears to be a Prada store but there is no access to the public other than intellectually. Professionally matted and framed. Little wear; condition is good.
About Gray Malin
“Growing up in Dallas, Texas, he knew he one day had to get out. Gray moved to Boston for college and fell in love with cinematography, eventually landing a job in Los Angeles. It took a year of chaos behind a desk on the Paramount lot to really understand what he loved most about film; imagery.Gray loves the idea of something being timeless and elegant while also being intriguing. He wants the viewers mind to wander in questions that may never have an
answer.”
