Design Plus Gallery presents “Those” The Egyptian Harp Player Bronze figure by Georges Charles Coudray (1863 – c.1932). The subject was inspired by the novel “Book of the Mummy” by Théophile Gauthier, a 1863 historical novel set in Ancient Egypt. The original was exhibited in the Paris Salons in 1892. This exquisite sculpture is signed “Coudray AP” and bears the seal of the Societe des Bronzes de Paris foundry mark. Light surface wear; condition is good.
